MidEastWorld covers technology, startups, investment and business in Saudi Arabia, the UAE and the wider Middle East.
Who we are
MidEastWorld is run by the MidEastWorld Team, a group of people who are passionate about the technology being built across the Middle East. We follow the region's AI companies, data centres, fintech apps, startups and the investors behind them, and we started MidEastWorld to keep track of it all in one place.
We try to keep things simple: explain what is happening, show where the facts come from, and keep our pages up to date.

The people who research, write and check everything on MidEastWorld. Every article on this site is published under this name.
What we cover
- AI: national strategies, AI companies and the models being built in the region.
- Infrastructure: data centres, cloud regions and the chips that power them.
- Startups and venture capital: who is raising money, who is investing and which companies are growing.
- Fintech: payments, digital banks, buy now pay later and the rules that govern them.
- Future industries: robotaxis, air taxis, electric vehicles, space and giga-projects.
- Business: sovereign funds, technology listings and economic programmes such as Vision 2030.
Most of our coverage is about Saudi Arabia and the UAE. We also cover Egypt, Qatar and other markets when there is a clear reason to.
How we work
Every figure we publish comes from a source we can point to: a company filing, a regulator notice, an official statement or an established report. Funding and valuation figures need either a primary source or two independent ones. When sources disagree, we say so.
Many of our pages are living pages. Company profiles, lists and trackers carry an "Updated" date and a short note on what changed. We only change that date when the content has really changed.
We use AI tools to help with research and first drafts. A member of our team checks every fact against its source before anything is published. Our editorial standards explain this in detail.
Independence
No company or government we write about pays for our coverage or approves it before publication. We do not publish sponsored articles. If that ever changes, sponsored content will be clearly labelled.
