Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data MidEastWorld (www.mideastworld.com) collects, why, and what you can do about it. The website is run by the MidEastWorld Team ("we", "us"). Questions go to info@mideastworld.com.

What we collect

When you contact us

If you email us or use our contact form, we receive your name, email address and whatever you write. We use this only to reply and, if you report an error, to check and correct it.

When you visit the site

Like every website, our servers receive technical information when you load a page: your IP address, browser type, device, the page you asked for and the time. Our hosting provider keeps these logs for security and to keep the site running.

We use Cloudflare to deliver the site quickly and protect it from attacks. Cloudflare processes your IP address for this purpose and may set strictly necessary cookies, for example to tell people apart from automated traffic. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand which pages people read and how they find us. It uses cookies and collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and how you arrived. We look at this information in aggregate; we do not use it to identify you. See Google's privacy policy.

What we do not do

• We do not run advertising trackers or sell personal data.
• We do not allow comments, so we do not collect comment data.
• We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Why we use your data

• To reply to messages you send us, because you asked us to.
• To keep the website secure and working, which is our legitimate interest in running a safe service.
• To measure readership and improve our pages, as our legitimate interest or with your consent where the law requires it.

Who we share it with

We share data only with the services that help us run the site: our hosting provider, Cloudflare, Google (for analytics and search tools) and our email provider. Some of them may process data outside your country. We do not share personal data with the companies we write about. We may disclose data if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

• Emails and contact form messages: up to 24 months, then deleted unless needed for a correction record.
• Server and security logs: as long as our hosting and security providers keep them, usually a few weeks.
• Analytics data: 14 months, then deleted automatically.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, laws such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation, the UAE Personal Data Protection Law, Saudi Arabia's Personal Data Protection Law or India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act may give you the right to:

• ask what personal data we hold about you and get a copy;
• ask us to correct or delete it;
• object to how we use it, or withdraw consent you gave earlier;
• complain to your data protection authority.

Cookies

Cloudflare may set strictly necessary cookies for security. Google Analytics sets cookies to measure visits. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
